Are you looking for an exciting outdoor adventure in Alameda County parks? Look no further! We offer a variety of orienteering programs for all ages, from skill development to nature excursions, taught by trained and friendly instructors. Our Trails End day camp session combines with our Trailblazers Camp to create an incredible two-week camping experience for children ages 8 to 11 who have completed their studies from 3rd to 5th grade. Before the camping session, you will receive a detailed letter with specific instructions on what to bring for the night and daily instructions for dropping off and picking up. All Alameda County Parks and Recreation Department (ARPD) programs follow all state, county, and East Bay Regional Park District health protocols.
Make sure to pack your child a lunch, unless you are notified otherwise. Place it in a heavy bag or day backpack and identify it with the camper's name. The camp will be met rain or shine, so make sure to provide rain gear if necessary. It is strongly recommended that every camper undergo a physical exam before the camping session. A tetanus or booster shot is also recommended.
After returning home, it is best for your camper to take a shower immediately, especially because of the potential exposure to poison oak. Make sure the camper gets enough rest each night to be ready for camping. Alameda City Hall Address: 2263 Santa Clara Avenue Alameda, CA 94501 (5) 747-7400
