Capture the Flag Rescheduled to February 21st

From http://www.xososports.com/event/free-capture-flag:

In preparation for our upcoming Capture the Flag league, we’ll be doing a couple of fun pick-up games. Come out and join us!

We had about 35 people come out last time and we’ve got a few new ideas to test out for the upcoming league (April 2009). Come help us iron things out!

We’ll be at Fremont Park (between 15th and 16th Streets and between Q and P Streets) on Saturday morning February 21st. We’ll play until 12:30pm. Meet us at the fountain in the middle wearing your Xoso shirt if you have one!

You remember the game: two teams, each with a flag and a jail. You have to sneak across the field, past the neutral zone to capture their flag, all while evading the other team. If they tag you on their side of the field, you go to their jail where you will be guarded vigilantly. Never fear, your team can spring you from the slammer by tagging you before they themselves are captured.

This is a free Xoso Sports event. Tell your friends! If you have a Xoso t-shirt please wear it to this event. We’ll head over to R15 for a little drinking and socializing after the game. Please let us know if you plan to attend…

Capture The Flag Success

Thanks to the XOSO Sport & Social League for organizing the successful and fun Capture The Flag game on Sunday at Fremont Park.  The large group was divided into three teams and the park divided into three areas defended by each team.  The natural and manmade features in the park were used by players for advantage and strategy.  XOSO is looking to organize a Capture The Flag league this spring – stay tuned!
